Our School children are getting ready for lunch
HMI provides assistance in feeding over 100 children in a school in Leogane. We also have a church and school west of Leogane where we have 380 plus children. We were the first school in that area.

You are looking at the damage on the West side of the building. HMI has hired a Haitian Construction team to immediately begin the repairs of this building trying to get life in this area back to normal as quickly as possible.
HMI had just finished this large multi room block building for the school children however, the greater need now is to establish another orphanage in this new building as a result of the recent devastation caused by the earthquakes.

Leogane school, classes resume February 1, 2010
We are currently erecting a block fence around the entire 16 acres for the children's safety.
Eighty families are now living on this property. Most having lost their homes all afraid and sleeping outdoors on the ground.
